  • select multiple files in Finder
  • drag and drop the files to an open Cryptomator vault in Cyberduck
  • upload fails with a series of error messages saying "Forbidden"

Changing connections to 1 solves the issue. If this is an inherent aspect of uploading to Cryptomator vaults, then Cyberduck should automatically set Connections to 1 in these circumstances to avoid this issue.

On what server is your vault located? Please post the transcript from the log drawer of the Transfers window. Choose ⌘-L on Mac or right-click the toolbar from the Transfers window and choose Log on Windows.

As a workaround, please try

  • If you can access the server using WebDAV or SFTP, please switch.
  • Ask the administrator to increase the number of allowed connections per client.
