Update fails with error while extracting the archive

For some reason the updater has not been working for qutie a while for quite a few versions. I have to go download a new version.

I do not have it in /Applications, it is in /Applications/Utilities/Network/ but I have checked permissions on all folders and they are OK, and I even removed the flag from the application bundle files, yet still the update fails. It downloads but when I click "Install and relaunch" I get "An error occurred while extracting the archive. Please try again later."

Sorry if this is not a Cyberduck bug, but I'd really like to get the updater working.
