When connecting to an FTP server using the "FTP-SSL (Explicit Auth TLS)" option I've recently started to receive the prompt:
The server requires a certificate to validate your identity. Select the certificate to authenticate yourself to [server]
When I click "Disconnect" it reappears but after doing this a few times (5) the connection eventually succeeds.
I searched the issue tracker and found that the FTP server needs to have the corresponding setting disabled to not request a client certificate. My hoster responded that this setting is already disabled on the server
I remembered that I recently updated to 7.1.2 (from 6.9.x I believe) so I went back and tried it with earlier versions. It works fine until 7.0.2 and the issue starts with 7.1.0.
