Hello,

I want to download Cyberduck through the Microsoft store but have a few questions about the process. When I purchase a license through the store for $24.99 am I paying for a monthly/yearly subscription? Or will I get access to the app as long as I own the license? Also, how much of the $24.99 is going to cyberduck as a donation so that I am not bugged by that donation prompt when trying to close out of the session. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Gage B.

Hi Gage,

this is a one-time payment granting you access to Cyberduck managed by Microsoft/the Microsoft Store and tied to your Microsoft Account.
You will have access to Cyberduck as long as the Microsoft Store exists within Windows 10. If you install through the Microsoft Store all updates are handled with it, no more Update prompts and no donation prompt.
The donation prompt you are getting is removed in the Microsoft Store version of Cyberduck.
A Cyberduck registration for the standalone version (downloadable from this website) is not included in the Microsoft Store-version of Cyberduck and cannot be used on the Store version either.
