6582aee created the issue

today upgraded from 2.73 to 2.8b1. when i click on

cyberduck > preferences

the rainbow color wheel spins, but the preferences window never appears. i have to force quit then restart. now, am never able to access preferences.

Please refer to #1145. I have not been able to find the reason for this crash. What localization are you running?
