I experience two problems under 2.8b1 I did not encounter under v. 2.7.3 (eventually, I switched back to that version).
I can't open folders containing special characters (e.g. "ö") in their name; these folders appear correctly, but when I try to open them, cyberduck tells me "a reference was made to a file which does not exist. Under version 2.7.3, there is no problem with those folders.
The synchronisation process breaks after a while, maybe because of that problem with special characters.
Also, it lists lots of files for synch which are absolutely the same, by name, size, and date, on both target and source.
