B2 hashes the large file fragments, as they are uploaded, but not the entire file again once the large file is completed. You can specify the full file SHA1 (large_file_sha1) when initiating b2_start_large_file so that it is stored with the file as per here:

We already set the large_file_sha1 in the file info when initiating a large file upload. Make sure to check Preferences → Transfers → Checksum → Uploads → Verify checksum.
