On connecting to an existing FTP site on a new Macintosh using all the same information as previously worked on another machine, the password was not accepted.
-Failure to accept correct keypesses as the correct password:*
-Prerequisite*: The password includes lower case characters
The input error occurs when the password has lower case letters input directly via the keyboard.
-The same password is accepted under these circumstances:*
The same keypresses are input into another Cyberduck Field (ie. into a new bookmark, as a name) and copied using 'Command C' then pasted with 'Command V' into the popup Password field under the username.
Success, the password 'excactly the same keypresses' is now accepted and stored into the keychain, if the box was checked!
-Conclusion*: The password field only accepts 'Upper Case' characters directly?
This was also a problem in at least one previous version

Please see (http://version.cyberduck.ch/changelog.html). Additionally, delete any passwords in the Keychain of the server you are trying to connect to. To modify saved passwords in the Keychain, open /Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access.app.
