Adverse effect on email

Installed Cyberduck easily and soon carried out an ftp transfer.

However something has now adversely affected my email. I am unable to either receive email, yet can connect easily to same server via Cyberduck.

Have double checked settings in Mail all are correct. They use Port 25 and see that Cyberduck uses Port 21. Not sure if this has any bearing.

Problem is that I will be unable to receive email to progress this issue if things stay as at present. I have removed it to the trash but the problem still remains.

There is no connection between the two issues.
