I recently updated Cyberduck on recently installed Leopard OS. Files uploaded to the server are now blocked - something is wrong with the permissions?

In preferences download and upload 'change permissions' is ticked.
Download: to the permissions of remote file or folder
Upload: to the permissions of local file or folder

These are unchanged from previous Cyberduck version.

Check the file permissions using File > Info in Cyberduck and/or Finder.app. Using the settings you describe, the permissions you set locally in the Finder will be given to the files uploaded. E.g. if you have set them to Read Only in the Finder.app for other users, they will not be accessible by public on your web server.
