When trying to connect to a working SFTP server which is using a private certificate . I get that error
I/O error:connection failed ftps://username@ftp.beep.com:21 Extensions not allowed in v2 certificate

Can you please check with 3.0b1. The certificate validation implementation has changed since.
Sorry, something went wrong.
Looks like the certificate the server uses is not valid X509v3.
