bdc6017 created the issue

When trying to connect to a working SFTP server which is using a private certificate . I get that error

I/O error:connection failed
ftps://username@ftp.beep.com:21
Extensions not allowed in v2 certificate

Can you please check with 3.0b1. The certificate validation implementation has changed since.

Looks like the certificate the server uses is not valid X509v3.
