Using Smultron for editing. OS-X 10.4.11/iMac G5

When I highlight a file and choose the "Edit" icon (in my case, for Smultron), Cyberduck downloads and Smultron opens 2 copies of the file. One at

/private/var/tmp/folders.501/TemporaryItems/[remote directory]

and one at

/var/tmp/folders.501/TemporaryItems/[remote directory]

This is new.
