If I drag a file or folder from my desktop and drop it to a ftp-folder and the filename contains an umlaut like ä, ö, or ü, the filename changes in "o?" (by using the encoding type "ISO-8859-1") or "oI" (by using the encoding type "UTF-8"). These files or folders with damaged filenames can't be deleted until I reconnect to the server. The ISO-8859-1 encoding shows the "ß" character correctly, but has problems with ä, ö, ü. I'm not a pro in encoding type definitions, but I think the 8859-1 is the correct encoding type for special german characters.
This problem occurs in 2.4.5, 2.5.3 and 2.5.4 (running on OS 10.3 and 10.4), but only by using drag and drop. An Interesting fact is that i can create folders in Cyberduck directly with ä, ö and ü. Cyberduck displays these foldernames correctly. If there are files with ä,ö or ü in the ftp-folder, i can download them to my desktop without any problems.

Analogical problem:
Cyberduck (2.2.5, may be all versions) can't work (download, delete, rename) all files containing windows-1250 encoded names with characters áéíýóúčšôžďťňľ... (uploaded to server from Windows). When i change Encoding (in View menu), names in browser look OK, but when i try download, delete or rename them - this don't work (FTP Error: ("filename") "path": No such file or directory.

I can't download these files with Finder (Go -> Connect to Server...) too, but Transmit and Captain FTP have no problem.
