Cyberduck still bounces in Tray when first opened. Long startup time. Stop #2640

Hello,

I had this problem back in Cyberduck 3.01 and maybe 3.0 too. Several other people experience it too, but all the tickets are just closed with "worksforme." It seems to be a real problem.

Whenever Cyberduck is opened, it bounces in the tray for an annoyingly long time before opening.

After that, however, if you quit Cyberduck and reopen it, the long period of bouncing is gone and the program starts right up. If you restart your computer, log out, etc and then try it again, you will be forced to go through the initial bouncing wait.

The only errors that I can see in the Console log are

10/8/08 2:38:42 PM [0x0-0x98098].ch.sudo.cyberduck[14948] log4j:WARN Continuable parsing error 31 and column 23
10/8/08 2:38:42 PM [0x0-0x98098].ch.sudo.cyberduck[14948] log4j:WARN The content of element type "log4j:configuration" must match "(renderer*,appender*,plugin*,(category|logger)*,root?,(categoryFactory|loggerFactory)?)".

I'm willing to provide whatever information I can to help out, I just need to know where to look for that information as the logs in Console don't seem to provide much.

Ahh,

OK earlier threads had mentioned updating Java might help, and that I had done, but I hadn't reinstalled Java.

That seems to have taken care of it.

Thanks and sorry for the useless ticket,
