Sorry - I am not sure if this is a Cyberduck error or my fault, but I do not understand what it means, nor what to do about it.

I try to upgrade to the latest version, but it fails with the error in the attached file.

Regards,

Martin Grundy

Try the following steps

  • Copy the Cyberduck.app from the mounted disk image (white icon) to your Applications folder
  • If the update still fails try to repair the disk permissions using Disk Utility.app

Thank you. That has worked. You must forgive my unfamiliarity with the operating system - I am new to Apple Macs.

What I literally had to do was:

  1. Find and open Cyberduck-3.0.1.dmg
  2. Drag Cyberduck.app from there to the Applications folder.
  3. Right-click the docked Cyberduck icon and "Remove from dock".
  4. Drag Cyberduck.app from the Applications folder to the dock.
  5. Launch Cyberduck from the dock. This time the update was successful (as you predicted).

May I take this opportunity to say what a marvellous piece of software I think Cyberduck is? I will be making a donation as soon as I am back in work!

Regards,

Martin Grundy
