Last night I was editing a document remotely with SubEthaEdit. Usually this works just fine. In this case, I saved periodically over a period of several hours, never saw an error message, but apparently the connection timed out at some point and none of the edits were properly uploading to the server.
The main problem honestly is with SEE apparently not keeping proper cached copies of files, but the lack of noticeable messages that the remote file was failing to be updated is something of a problem.

It should not happen and I cannot replicate this in the latest nightly build available. You might want to install Growl to get a notification for succesul uploads and errors.
