Description

I am getting "No external editor available" when I try to edit an uploaded file, but I have a number of editors available, such as taco html editor and TextEditor.

Hardware Overview:

System Software Overview:

System Version: Mac OS X 10.5.6 (9G55) Kernel Version: Darwin 9.6.0 Boot Volume: Macintosh HD Boot Mode: Normal

I am also running Parallels 4.0, but that has nothing to do with this problem.

Suggestions?

Same here. Selecting an editor (textmate) in preferences worked exactly once - but now the list is shown greyed out, and when trying to open a file, there is "no editor available"... Any ideas where to look and how to fix?

Try to rebuild the Launch Services Database using 

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister \ -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

in a Terminal.app window.
