Opening Menus seems to pause tasks #3111

I'm currently using CD to delete a S3 bucket with tens of thousands of objects. Basically I just see tasks flashing by in the status bar. For some reason, I was just clicking through the menus, and I noticed that as long as a menu is open -- or even if i just hold my mouse down over one of the menus -- execution of those tasks seems to be paused.

I'd think it'd be better if UI elements such as opening and browsing menus wouldn't block ongoing tasks.

The background task should still be running but the update of the status line is delayed.

I cannot replicate this.
