Umlaut (ä, ü, ö) are not displayed correctly (but as question mark = �) #3176

The same for folder and file names across different FTP sites. Might be an encoding issue? Other FTP clients (especially on windows) have no issues with this whatsoever.

Versuchen Sie, die Zeichenkodierung zu ändern. Befehl Darstellung → Zeichenkodierung. Probieren Sie UTF-8 (Standard), ISO-8859-1 und Windows-1252 aus.

In UTF-8 the problem occurs as described above, ISO-8859-1 and Windows-1252 works fine.
I believe UTF-8 is the "new" standard for the web? Shouldn't the client be on UTF-8 always and discover required change from that mode automatically? Maybe this could become a feature request?
