This has happened to me many times. When I download a file, the status bar shows that the file has been successfully downloaded with the correct size; but when I open it, it is empty (even when I had a older-version file with the same name; it was erased.). Then I need to download the file again, and it is always successful at the second try. This happens to all kinds of files types such as .doc or .pdf.

Same for me, but here it only happens when the file already exists at that location. It does not matter if I do it by drag and drop or by "Download to".
If I Download to a location where no file with the same name exists the download is successful in the first attempt.
