Command line drawer #4018
Comments
Refer to Send Commands. |
I was not referring to sending a command, it is not the same as having a terminal. I am on shared host on Dreamhost and I want to start mc 'midnight commander'. It is not possible. Also, after issuing a command and then another, you don't have delimited output so you know what was the first command and effect, then second command and output etc. It is not the question of having it 'somehow', but it Mac philosophy of having it proper way in good user experience. This with [4017] would make perfect tool for me and I believe lot of other users and with some performance tweaks would attract larger audience. |

Yes, we don't have full terminal support. You might be interested in the Open In Terminal feature. |
:) yes, I know several ways to do that, but I would prefer not to leave Cyberduck while I'm at it. It could look like putting too much in Cyberduck but I see it as making it powerful tool for getting job done. I do not know how difficult is to add a drawer like the one in Pathfinder (drops down which is more logical) but I am sure I am not the only one wishing that. |
It is very useful to have command line handy for various reasons.
Therefore, I suggest having a drawer, maybe, like one in PathFinder that user can simply "draw" and have instant opportunity to type in command and see output.
Of course, this is for SFTP/SSH protocol where user have ssh access permission.
