I am attempting to set Cyberduck as my default FTP handler.

However, in the preferences, this choice is grayed out.

I recently updated Cyberduck to the current version to try and fix this, but it still is the case (see attached screenshot).

Is there some course of action to take in order to enable this feature?

Please advise.

Thanks, Stephen

After each launch Cyberduck checks if it's registered as the default protocol handler for the web protocols. If not, a prompt appears to let you register Cyberduck again as the default protocol handler. You might have already seen this prompt. However it doesn't appear anymore if you have chosen the 'Don't Ask Again' option. To make it appear again try the following
steps:

  1. Enable the reminder (type this command in a Terminal.app window):
defaults write ch.sudo.cyberduck defaulthandler.reminder true
  1. Restart Cyberduck and choose the 'Change' option

I hope this does the trick.
