Sync improvements

Reported by: Markus Owned by: dkocher
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: interface Version: 3.4.1
Severity: normal Keywords: sync synchronize syncing
Cc: Architecture:
Platform: Mac OS X 10.6

Description

When syncing, three improvements come to my mind that I would love to see.

1) "Sync bookmarks": Click a bookmark and a saved sync is done. Optionally without confirming anything.

2) The preview is unhandy. I would have to click through zillions of folders to see what will be done. Some solutions come to my mind: a) option to collapse all folders, b) hide all folders/files that will not be synced, c) hide folders and show only the files to be synced in a list and d) any combination of a, b or c.

3) A tabular view to compare the sizes and dates could also be useful. The table could use arrows to indicate what is synced to where. Basically as it is done in most sync apps.

Just leave the item in the transfer window. You can always reload to sync again.

In #2808.

We do have arrows indicating exactly this.
