This highly important functionality is currently available only in Transmit. Please add either an option to include password in URL or another contextual copy command (maybe that activates with Alt-press) that allows to make an url like ftp://login:PASSWORD@ftp.server/path/to/file

We should not copy passwords clear text to the clipboard.

That's a really nice response...
Did you ever considered workflows that really require this functionality? I can explain in depth. It would be up to user to find this hidden preference to break your rule of "never copy passwords clear text to the clipboard"
