Crashes while transferring multiple files #12397
Comments
Followup: I can upload files all day - one at a time. As soon as I try to upload another file to another dir at the same time as the Duck is uploading the first one - Crash. I will continue to send crash reports until you tell me to stop. Please, how else can I assist? I noticed a thread started along the same lines. I re-downloaded 2.6 and reinstalled. Still same issue. |
Was experiencing this issue as well with CyberDuck 2.6 on a MacBook Pro 2.16GHz, 2GB RAM,sometimes with every other updownload, to the point where the app was unusable. Transferring multiple files seemed to exacerbate the problem, so I attempted to transfer a single file at a time as a quick workaround. Still experienced frequent crashes (perhaps one every ten or so transfers). Found a version of 2.5.5 and installed that, which seems to run rock solid for the most part. |
I've upgraded to 2.6 and it started crashing each time It tries to fetch the file listing of a public upload server... or when it tried to download a file... Not immediately on connect though. It seemed to happend only when it managed to connect and downloaded some data (either directory listing or piece of a file). Just now, as I was trying to connect to a server, it claimed to be retrieving folder listing nad failed with timeout - nothing happened and cyberduck was happy to disconnect... Hope that helps... I'm using MacBook Pro with 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo and 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM |
Everyone please try the latest nightly build at http://update.cyberduck.ch/nightly/ |
Similar problems (with 2.6) on a G3 Powerbook...so it's not an Intel thing. So far no issues on my G4(1.25) Mini. It's been a great tool until now, so I confidently look forward to the fix that will make it great once more! Josh P |
Looks like the build from 2006-07-08(ish) fixes the upload of files to multiple directories simultaneously. I will continue to test and provide feedback. |
I've found that when I'm uploading multiple files (same connection, seperate transfer) in to seperate server directories, some times it will crash.
