The information on how to use Custom Origins with Amazon is difficult
to figure out. It says:

"Custom Origin (HTTP/HTTPS) Distributions

A custom origin is an origin server that isn't hosted on Amazon S3. The origin server holds the original, definitive versions of your content. You can connect to any server and configure it as an origin server for content distribution with Amazon CloudFront."

It is not at all clear what "connect to any server" means. You don't have to connect to a server to setup a custom origin. What kind of connection? It's all very vague. Please be CLEAR about how you use this feature.

Slightly adjusted the text in the wiki documentation. There would be no need to connect to the origin server, but we take the Web URL configuration from the bookmark of the origin server to configure the CDN. Also, being connected to the origin server allows to select a default root file and invalidate files in the edge location.
