Living in Europe we have often accented characters in file names. For example german umlauts, french accent grave, etc. When downloading such a file the download breaks off because of these characters. Changing the name to exclude these characters enables downloading. However this is a nuisance: everytime needing to change the names of files on the TV cable box where the files to download are collected. I would be happy if this can be repaired.

Try to change the character encoding used. See 'View' → 'Text Encoding'. Try UTF-8 (the default), ISO-8859-1 and Windows-1252. Refer to Character Encoding.
