#5478 closed defect (fixed)

negative time value on download completion

Reported by: hansm Owned by: dr. Hans van der Meer
Priority: low Milestone: 3.8
Component: core Version: 3.7
Severity: normal Keywords: download, completion
Cc: Architecture: Intel
Platform: Mac OS X 10.6

Description

In MacOSX 10.6 Apple has changed the reporting of filesize, going from binary to decimale base. As a consequence the calculation of the time remaining for the download goes negative, saying download will be completed in -60 seconds, for example. Perhaps as a result of having the reported size in the decimal base, and doing the calculations in the binary one. It is not a problematic thing, but I think Cyberduck will benefit from its correction.

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

In r7830. This should only happen if the file size on the server has grown since the download started. Support for decimal based file sizes is in #3771.
