I always get an update error.. So I can't check if there are new updates available

Please try to run the updater manually. It is located in the Cyberduck installation directory (wyUpdate.exe or Updater.exe). Post the 'Details' from the textbox in the last dialog.

I also get this error. Running updater.exe manually works correctly.

I have just uploaded a new build which should give a more detailed error message in case the built-in updater fails. Can you please update (with updater.exe) to the latest version and run the built-in updater again to see if we can get a more precise error. It might happen that it only fails when there is an update available.
