Cyberduck Mountain Duck CLI

#575 closed defect (fixed)

Hostname reachability check slow and blocking user interface

Reported by: Owned by: dkocher
Priority: high Milestone: 2.6.1
Component: interface Version: 2.6
Severity: normal Keywords: bookmark new connection
Cc: Architecture:

If you try to create a new bookmark for a site that has not yet been set up as a new connection, cyberduck 2.6 will "beach ball" and you will have to force quit the app. If you are unable to set up a bookmark a site in this manner, it would be better to advise the user in a more interactive fashion, such as "Please add the connection first"

  • Milestone set to 2.6.1
  • Priority changed from normal to high
  • Status changed from new to assigned
  • Summary changed from Beach ball on new bookmark if a new connection is not added first to Hostname reachability check slow and blocking user interface

From another user: I am trying to add a Bookmark to Cyberduck, but every time I type a character into the Server textbox, Cyberduck freezes for several seconds. When it is done, there is a yellow Exclamation to the right of the textbox, but clicking on it crashes Cyberduck.
