I have an FTP server application which makes iphone a portable disk device. since it is application and is accessible either through wireless networks or GPRS connction and can be turned off easily it does not represent security risk. Attacker would have to know iphone's IP, which is practically impossible.
However - ftp client can only logon without password (null password) - anonymous logon is not possible.
Current version, 4.0.2 does not allow this. But older version 3.4.2 (5902) does and I am forced to use it.
I think you should add 'null password' checkbox into login window.
