I have a couple of folders that I need to change permissions for (from 000 to 777). So I highlight the folder, do command+i for info, type in 777, which highlights all of the check boxes for read, write, and execute. Then I hit enter/apply recursively and close the window. BUT THEN when I check the info for the folder again, permissions is still 000. It doesn't save the change.

Possibly the server does not support UNIX permissions.
