Can't connect to BlackMoon FTP Server

Reported by: Witold Oleksiak Owned by: dkocher
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: ftp Version: 4.2
Severity: normal Keywords:

Platform: Mac OS X 10.6

Cyberduck since 4.1 version stopped connecting to one of my FTP servers.

It just timeouts at FEAT command as far as I can see, here's connection log, nothing more is displayed but the error window "Read timed out":

220-BlackMoon FTP Server Version 3.1.2 Release 2 - Build 1731
220 service ready

Reverting to 4.0.2 or older version fixes the problem. Connecting using command-line ftp Mac OS client works properly, FEAT command is also properly handled.

  • Resolution set to thirdparty
  • Status changed from new to closed

This is possibly a broken server closing the connection if a FEAT command is received before a login attempt is being made. Please report this bug to the server vendor.

I see it now. It was reported already as #6344 and #5184. I will use suggested workaround for time being.
