The SOCKS server you have configured in your system settings is not sending a valid response.

Would you be able to provide a bit more information as to where I could find the SOCKS server settings on a Windows 7 machine? What is the recommended SOCKS server to use to receive a valid response? We are using your client for file transfer of data from research sites around the world. Unfortunately, our organization did not setup the system in question. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

SOCKS settings are read from Internet Properties → Connections → Local Area Network Settings. Check what proxy server is set there.
