Hello,
Downloaded cyberduck yesterday. Dragged the icon into my applications folder, but I can't open the program either by clicking on it or via the File/Open menu. The icon bounces up and down in my Mac doc, briefly, as though it would open but then vanishes. Thanks for your time!

Make sure to install the latest Java update available through Software Update.

Same here. Latest Java installed, OS X Lion 10.7.4, on a late 2008 MacBook Pro.
After fixing all permissions, Cyberduck suddenly started smoothly, but only once.
After reboot, Cyberduck keeps jumping up and down in the dock, but fails to start.
