I access a NAS (ds212j from synology) by Webdav with Cyberduck. I tried to backup many folders at once. All folders with ü, ä, ö were created with a instead of the Umlaut in the foldername and remained empty - nothing copied inside, although the content didn't have any ü, ä, ö in the filename.
I had to complete the task with WinSCP which handled the Umlaute correctly - but I cannot always afford the time to check whether there was some ö, ä, ü-parts. DSM 4.1 (NAS-OS) supports utf-8 for filenams, cyberduck - according to the settings - too. But it doesn't work in practice.

Thanks for hints or improvements.

By the way: Integration in Explorer (as a folder or a drive) was very nice too.

The server software is sending ISO-8559-1 encoded filenames but advertises UTF-8 in the XML response entity. Please report this bug to the NAS vendor.
