a1aa184 created the issue

i'm trying to upload a file via ftp but i keep getting this message;
553 msg; cant open that file; read-only system.
what does this mean? i uploaded similar files yesterday with no problem.
please advise.

The server you are trying to upload to has mounted the disk as read only and therefore the file uploaded cannot be written. Please contact your web hosting service provider for assistance.
