Are you referring to a custom .cyberduckprofile as documented in Connection Profiles?

Replying to szinobido:

Setting a profile name with a character such as ":" (double colon) makes CD unable to login.

Sorry for misunderstanding: I meant the "Connection", or the item in CD's bookmarks page.

When you edit a connection, there is a "Nickname" (the second field, after setting a protocol, eg. WebDAV+SSL), this is the said field.

The hostname set as webdav.google.com in the bookmark is not reachable.

Well, for me also it is not reachable. I can give You all the IP's, logins and a temporary password. Yet, I think you wouldn't be able to access a server in my local network (behind all this walls of death), would you? I will try to setup a WebDAV account somewhere outside to get a clean test case. OK - I have appended Ggoogledab.duck just as an example to show where I insert invalid characters in the form.
