I came to update my website (the last time being a few weeks ago) and although everything seems to operate as normal, for some reason it is not updating the website on the internet. I use iWeb to create the website and publish it to a folder on my computer. I then upload the files from that folder via Cyberduck to the ftp that my website is hosted with.
In Cyberduck, it opens and displays the files from my FTP as they should be. All I have done in the past is re-upload (and therefore replace) whichever files or folders have been changed in iWeb by dragging them into the Cyberduck window. The 'Replace' option is selected and the files upload as normal with the 'Upload Complete' status appearing in the Transfers window. However, when I visit my website, the changes I have made are not displayed and the website stays as it is.
I have updated Cyberduck to the latest version, I have tried the 'Upload' option instead of dragging the files in and I have tried deleting the existing files that need replacing and then uploading them fresh. However, even when the relevant files/page have been deleted - the page still displays on the website.
All I can make out is that there is some lack of connection between Cyberduck updating the files with the FTP on my website's server - even though it says that everything has gone through fine in Cyberduck. Also just a note that the website is hosted with GoDaddy. Have never had any problems with it before and nothing has changed since the last time I updated my website so can't work out why it will not update.
