They are there and I compared it to a previous version(that this feature worked in) and it looks the same XML structure wise. I am leery about putting up the user.config file itself as there is client specific information there that I am unsure the legalities of sharing it would be (33 different FTP accounts stored).
I have no idea if this is relevant but the config files that have the issue with the password not being recalled are stored in the C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\iterate_GmbH\Cyberduck.exe_Url_y3p2ebapuyakx1wepw5uc1dcj54dho4b
and not in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Cyberduck\Cyberduck.exe_Url_y3p2ebapuyakx1wepw5uc1dcj54dho4b (4.6.1.15865 and earlier)
We are unable to replicate this issue both when upgrading or with a new installation. Can you please check that you have checked Use Keychain in Edit → Preferences… → General → Connection.
Using the Nightly Release build it does not restore saved passwords. Use Keychain is ticked though I am curious as to what build dkocher is using.
My Edit > Preferences > General > Connection settings are as follows:
Use Keychain is ticked
Confirm disconnect is not
Default protocol: FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
The Nightly Build 4.7 (16746) is not saving Passwords for Connections.
Use Keychain is ticked in Preferences and Save Password ticked in Open Connection dialogue.
Still have to re-enter password every new connection.
