I have contacted my organisation IT staff and they told me that there is not any problem with the webdav server, as evidenced by the fact that copying .msg files using windows (XP and 8) file explorer from the webdav server works right. Also, downloading them using Chrome and IE (by entering the https://webdav.**** address in the top bar) also works as intended. Please see original ticket.
I´d appreciate if this issue could be solved. Regards
