Hi,

I´m using Cyberduck for many years ago (I´m a registered user), but at my server support they´ve recommended me I should change to FileZilla or another FTP client as Cyberduck no longer support Keep-Alive FTP commands.

Without this option, my server disconnects every 5 minutes if I don´t upload or make something within that lapse. I´ve lost several files which after saving them after that time from Text Mate or Brackets editor, they´ve appeared with 0Kb within the server.

Could you please implement that function again ASAP? If you don´t have planned it, please let me know and I will uninstall Cyberduck, despite it´s my preferred FTP application but useless this way.

Best regards.

I endorse the request. I'm not experiencing any loss of data but the lack of a Keep-alive feature is making my work with cyberduck painfully slow nonetheless.
In fact, my ftp server, for safety reasons, has a built-in delay when opening connections. This means that if I open a file for edit, and my work lasts more then 5 minutes, each time I save I have to wait the connection delay.
The keep-alive feature could simply be an option for the user to choose.
Thanks

We have revisited connection management in version 5.3. Please reopen this issue if you are still having issues with dropped connections.

For me nothing has changed. If I open a file for edit and my work lasts more then 5 minutes, the connection is dropped and upon save I have to wait the built-in security delay in my ftp server.
If this may help, I add that my Cyberduck FTP client is configured for using multiple connection. I don't know if setting the option to "Browser's connection" would change something.

Thanks

P.S.: I don't see any "Keep-alive" checkbox in Cyberduck's settings.
