I've been trying to get SFTP connection to work with my DreamHost web host account. FTP works just fine but is not secure so I want to switch over the using SFTP within Cyberduck but I always get this error. From what I've read, the only difference is the Port changes from 21 to 22 for SFTP. Why does this never work for me? I've tried this for years on various web hosts and have never gotten to work. I'm finally at the point of seeking out your help.
I just realized there was a new update for Cyberduck as I was still on 4.3 initially when I started using it today. So now I've updated to 5.3.4 and I'm getting a new error: Interoperability failure EOF while reading packet.
This is so frustrating. No one else I know has issues like I do in trying to get SFTP to work. According to DreamHost, the only difference is to use port 22 rather than 21. I've done that in Cyberduck. What else could possibly be wrong?
