Cyberduck Help / Howto / Google Docs Drive
Google Docs support is defunct and has been superseeded by Google Drive.
Connect to your Google Drive (previously Google Docs) account to access all your documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
Uploads
Refer to the list of supported file formats by Google Docs. You need a Google Apps Premier Account to upload aribtrary files not supported by any of the Google Docs editor application.
Update: As of 4.0.2 of Cyberduck uploads with arbitrary file types should succeed.
You might get an error message titled You do not have permission to perform this operation if you do not own a Google Apps Premier account. Follow these instructions to upgrade your Google account.
Note: If you are merely looking into using your account for storage, Google Storage might be the better option for you.
Revisions
With the versioning support in version 3.6 you can access previous versions of a document stored in Google Docs. Use View → Show Hidden Files.
Sharing
You can define access permissions to anyone having a email address registered with Google Docs in Info → Permissions → ACL. Read (view a document) or Write (edit a document) permissions can be granted to :
- Email Address. A user identified with an email address registered with Google.
- Google Group Email Address. To all members of a Google Group.
- Google Apps Domain. To all members of a Google Apps Domain.
- Public. For anonymous users without any authentication.

Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
When the OCR option is enabled, attempt to extract text and create a new document from PNG, JPEG and GIF images uploaded instead of saving the image itself to Google Docs.

To access the Google Docs storage of your company's Google Apps Account, use your email address connected to your Google Apps account for the username.

Refer to Signing in using application-specific passwords on how to set an application specific password to access Google Drive with 2-step verification enabled for your Google Account.
Limitations
