Connecting
You find the connection details in the console under API Keys.
- Download the HP Cloud Object Storage Connection Profile (US East) for preconfigured settings.
- Download the HP Cloud Object Storage Connection Profile (US West) for preconfigured settings.
Alternatively, enter the following information in the bookmark:
- Protocol: OpenStack
- Server: region-a.geo-1.identity.hpcloudsvc.com or region-b.geo-1.identity.hpcloudsvc.com
- Port: 35357
- Username: Tenant ID:Account Username
- Password: [Console Password]
The tenant id is the Project ID displayed in your account. With your credentials and tenant, the HP Cloud Identity Service checks to see whether you have activated the HP Cloud Object Storage service. If so, it returns an authentication token and the endpoints to all regions of the HP Cloud Object Storage service that you are activated for.
Username and Password
The username is: Tenant ID:Account Username. That is, your Tenant ID, followed by a colon (“:”), followed by your login username.
In the current version of HP Cloud, the Tenant ID is also known as the Project ID and can be found near the top of your “API Keys” page.
CDN Distribution
You can enable Akamai CDN (Content Delivery Network) distribution for a selected container using File → Info → Distribution (CDN).
Public URLs
You can access all URLs (including from CDN configurations) from the menu Edit → Copy URL and File → Open URL. Note: You must first open File → Info → Distribution (CDN) before these URLs are available.
