Share a file using a signed temporary URL

S3

Create a pre-signed temporary URL.

  • Cyberduck. Choose Edit → Copy URL→ Signed URL
  • Mountain Duck. Choose "Copy URL from the context menu.

OpenStack Swift

A private object stored in OpenStack Swift can be made publicly available for a limited time using a signed URL.

Azure

Create a Shared Access Signature URL.

  • Cyberduck. Choose Edit → Copy URL→ Signed URL
  • Mountain Duck. Choose "Copy URL from the context menu.

Backblaze B2

Create an authorized URL to make files available publicly expiring after 7 days.

  • Cyberduck. Choose File → Share…

OneDrive

Create an authorized URL to make files available publicly expiring after 7 days.

  • Cyberduck. Choose File → Share…
  • Mountain Duck. Choose Share… from the context menu.

Dropbox

You can share a temporary URL to provide access to a document in your Dropbox.

  • Cyberduck. Choose Edit → Copy URL→ Signed URL
  • Mountain Duck. Choose "Copy URL from the context menu.

Share file for public access

Google Drive

Share the web link to open download or open the file in Google Docs. This will set the permission of the file to reader/anyone.

  • Cyberduck. Choose File → Share…
  • Mountain Duck. Choose Share… from the context menu.
